"COMPLETELY CRACKERS" CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
1. HOW TO ENTER: Create a video entry on DVD that shows your child or your children, ages
5 to 12 years of age, doing something "completely crackers." Performances may include acting,
singing, dancing or anything else and may be staged or impromptu. Maximum length of video is two (2) minutes
and entry must be submitted on a standard DVD. See Rule 5 for additional guidelines. Using a marker, print
your name on the front of the DVD. On an Official Entry Form (available at
www.macncheesecrackers.com) or
3" x 5" paper, print your complete name, address, city, state, zip, date-of-birth, and daytime and
evening telephone numbers and mail it along with your DVD to: Kraft Mac & Cheese "Completely Crackers"
Contest. P.O. Box 908, Elmhurst, IL 60126. No mechanically reproduced entries accepted. One entry per stamped
envelope. Entries should be mailed in a padded envelope. All entries must be received by August 8, 2008,
when the contest ends.
Entrants may only submit videos of their own children, 5 to 12 years of age.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to residents of the 50 United States and D.C., 18 years of age and older
as of June 4, 2008, except for employees of Kraft Foods Global, Inc. ("Sponsor"), Promotions.com, LLC
("Judges"), NBC Entertainment, NBC Universal, Inc., FremantleMedia North America, Inc., Marathon Productions,
Inc., their affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies (collectively "Promotion Parties"), members of their immediate
family or persons living in the same household, as well as professional photographers or videographers. Children
who are professional actors or SAG/AFTRA members are not eligible to appear in the videos. Void where prohibited.
3. JUDGING CRITERIA: Eligible entries will be judged by a panel of experts under the supervision of
Judges. Judging will be based on the following criteria: Originality & Creativity (1 - 30 points); Depiction of Theme defined as
"showing your child or children doing something "completely crackers" (1 - 30 points); and Entertainment Appeal
(1 - 40 points). Entries must not have won a previous prize or award nor been previously published and must be entrant's original
work. In the event of a tie, tied entries will be rejudged on the basis of Entertainment Appeal. The top highest scoring entry
will win the Grand Prize. The next nine highest scoring entries will win a First Prize.
4. PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: $50,000 cash (awarded as a check) and a trip for four (4) to either Las Vegas, NV
or Los Angeles, CA to see the finale of America's Got Talent on date designated by Sponsor in October 2008. Trip consists of
round trip coach class airfare for 4 (winner and 3 guests) from major airport nearest winner's residence to either Las Vegas,
NV or Los Angeles, CA (Sponsor to designate based on taping location of show), 4 days/3 nights hotel accommodations (one room;
quad occupancy), roundtrip ground transfers between airport/hotel and hotel/show; four tickets to see the finale of America's
Got Talent. ARV: $57,500. Nine (9) First Prizes: $1,000 cash awarded in the form of a check. Total approximate retail value
of all prizes is $66,500. Actual value of trip portion of Grand Prize will depend on airfare fluctuations and point of departure.
Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded. If the finale performance is cancelled or postponed,
that portion of the prize will not be awarded and no compensation will be awarded in lieu thereof. rip must be taken on dates
designated by Sponsor in October 2008 or the travel portion of the prize will automatically be forfeited. Dates and locations
of travel subject to change. Winner and guests must travel on same itinerary. Any minors traveling must be accompanied by a
parent or legal guardian. All travel accommodations and arrangements at Sponsor's discretion. All travelers must execute a
Release of Liability prior to ticketing. No substitutions or transfers of prizes permitted by winners. Sponsor reserves the
right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Limit one prize per person/family/household.
5. Entry Requirements: All entries must meet the following guidelines:
- The entry must be the entrant's original work.
- Any entry that appears to be dangerous or otherwise appears to put the child at risk, even if the child is not at actual risk, will be disqualified.
- All persons appearing in the video must be a child of the entrant and entrant acknowledges, on behalf of his or her child, that Sponsor may use the audio and video, including derivative works, without any compensation to entrant or persons appearing in the video, in any and all media, throughout the world, in perpetuity.
- Video must not violate the intellectual property rights of any third party. That means that the video should not contain a trademark or logo of another company, nor any copyrighted materials such as music.
- The entry must be suitable for publication and publicity purposes as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Entries must be in good taste and must not contain obscene or defamatory statements nor portray Sponsor or Sponsor's brands in any way that might tend to subject any of them to public contempt, scandal, disrepute or ridicule.
Sponsor reserves the right to make determinations of suitability in its sole
and absolute discretion, and to disqualify any entries it determines to be inappropriate for any of the reasons listed above, or for any other reason.
6. RIGHTS IN SUBMISSIONS. In consideration of entrant's submission being reviewed and evaluated for this Contest, each entrant hereby grants to the Sponsor a non-exclusive, irrevocable, fully paid, universal license to use, copy, modify or make derivative works, sublicense, transmit, distribute, publicly perform, publish, delete or display such submission, or any portion thereof, in any media now known or hereafter devised including, but not limited to, all forms of television and all forms of internet and wireless protocol without any further right of approval or additional compensation.
7. GENERAL RULES: Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws apply. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and Sponsor may alter entries submitted prior to publication, if any. Entries will not be returned. All income taxes resulting from acceptance of prize are the responsibility of winner. Potential winners will be notified by mail and must sign any required Affidavit and Release within seven (7) days of attempted delivery or prize will be forfeited. If any prize/prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or in the event of non-compliance with any other requirements, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and may be awarded to an alternate. By entering contest, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of Judges, which shall be final in all matters. By participating in this contest and/or accepting prizes, entrants agree to hold Sponsor, Promotion Parties, their affiliates, directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless against any and all claims and liability in connection with the contest, the videos, or the use or redemption of prizes, including, without limitation, bodily injury or death. Submission of contest entry (1) constitutes permission to use winners' names and likenesses, address (city/state), and video entry, for advertising and publicity purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law, (2) grants Sponsor and its agents the right to modify, adapt, and/or edit entry, and (3) constitutes a representation and warranty that entrant has received permission for Sponsor to use the audio and likeness of all persons appearing in the video without additional compensation to such persons. Sponsor and its affiliated companies will not be responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries or prize notices or for any typographical, or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the contest, or announcement of the prize. In the event of any such error, Sponsor reserves the right to request that the Judges modify this contest in a manner deemed reasonable by the Judges, at the Judges' sole discretion.
8. WINNERS' LIST: For the names of the winners (available after September 29, 2008), send a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope to: Kraft Mac & Cheese Completely Crackers Contest, P.O. Box 329, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Requests must be received by August 8, 2008.
